Returns & Refunds

Last updated: 29 September 2026

We want you to be happy with every kit you buy from Ayagama. Please read this policy before you order.

Change of mind

We do not offer refunds or exchanges if you simply change your mind or ordered the wrong item. Please check the grade, scale and model carefully before placing your order.

Your rights under Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

This means we will provide a remedy (repair, replacement or refund, depending on the problem) if an item you receive is:

  • faulty or defective, including missing or damaged parts
  • damaged in transit
  • significantly different from its description or photos
  • not the item you ordered

Missing or defective parts

Model kits contain many small parts. If you find a missing, broken or mis-moulded part — whether you notice it on opening or while building — please contact us with your order number, the kit name and the part number (from the instruction manual). We will help arrange a replacement part, a replacement kit or a refund as appropriate.

How to make a claim

  • Email contact@ayagama.com as soon as possible after you notice the problem.
  • Include your order number, a short description of the issue, and clear photos of the item and packaging.
  • Please keep the item, parts and original packaging until your claim is resolved.
  • If we ask you to return the item, we will give you instructions. For faulty, damaged or incorrect items, we will cover reasonable return postage costs.

Refunds

Approved refunds are made to your original payment method. Please allow a few business days for your bank or card provider to process the refund.

Items that are not faulty

Damage caused after delivery (for example, during building, painting, modification or misuse) is not considered a fault. This does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
